Fred Allen Madden was born in Gadsden, Alabama, on April 27, 1956 to the union of Earmon & Lucy Pearl Madden, Sr.
He was educated in the Gadsden City School System. Soon after, he enlisted in the United States Army where he served honorably until the time of his medical retirement.
Fred was known for his big heart. He also had a passion for basketball and he loved his music.
Fred departed this earthly life on Saturday, February 4, 2017.
Fred is survived by his parents, Earmon and Lucy P. Madden, Sr.; two brothers, Earmon Madden, Jr., Atlanta, GA, Rev. Timothy L. (Iris) Madden, Sr., Gadsden, AL; two sisters, Sharma Madden, Atlanta, GA, Marnita Madden, Gadsden, AL; one God-sister, Joy (Carl) Byers; one aunt, Sarah (John) Walker, Gadsden; two uncles, Fred Ledford, Eldred Mays, both of Pell City, AL; four nieces, Candice Madden, Timethia Ragland-Madden, Kamilah Madden, Cicily Bacop; two nephews, Tim Madden, Jr., Darius Haley; four great-nieces; two great- nephews and a host of relatives and special friends, including William and Jackie Terrell.
