Ms. Johnnie Mae Nelson was born September 22, 1944 in Glencoe, Alabama to the late John Henry & Labertia Nelson.
At an early age, Johnnie united with Bethlehem Baptist Church in Glencoe, Alabama under Rev. C.J. Mallory. For the last 36 years, Mrs. Johnnie Pinson worshiped in fellowship with the Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church and its family in Ragland, Alabama where she served faithfully until she became ill.
Mrs. Johnnie Pinson was wed in Holy matrimony to Rev. Wallace Pinson, Sr. on February 26, 1963 and to their union, three sons were born; Wallace Pinson, Jr., Anthony Pinson and Frankie Pinson.
Mrs. Johnnie Pinson was preceded in death by her parents, John Henry & Labertia Nelson; her grandparents, Clem & Sally Jelks, Sr., Willie & Ella Nelson; her granddaughter, Brandy Crawford; two sisters, Emma Hudson, Lucille Pinson; eight aunts and five uncles.
Johnnie leaves to cherish her fond and loving memories, her husband of 53 years, Rev. Wallace Pinson, Sr.; three sons, Wallace Pinson, Jr., Anthony Pinson, both of Glencoe, AL, Frankie Pinson, Anniston, AL; five grandchildren, Talia Pinson, Glencoe, AL, Anthony Terrell (Elisha) Pinson, Ohatchee, AL, Dontavius Montgomery, Caleb Montgomery, Jacob Montgomery, all of Ohatchee, AL; one great-granddaughter, Aniya Pinson, Ohatchee, AL; two sisters, Bertha (Tyrone) Snow, Brenda Alexander, both of Gadsden, AL; two aunts, Bulah Lawrence, Attalla, AL, Doris Jelks, Gadsden, AL; one uncle, Clem (Dorothy) Jelks, Jr., Gadsden, AL; two sisters-in-law, Edna Bush, Gadsden, AL, Lela Kate Pinson, Warner Robins, GA; two brothers-in-law, Eddie Pinson, Sr., Gadsden, AL, Lee Hudson, Jr., South Pittsburg, TN; twenty-nine nieces, seventeen nephews, four God-children, Debbie, Sherry, Trisa & Paul David and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends too numerous to name.
