It is with deep sympathy, we announce the passing of John Riddle of Gadsden, AL, who traded time for eternity on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at the age of 71. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
He is survived by his children Kiesha Curry, Vassar Curry and Derrick Curry.
John Henry Riddle was born on October 21, 1952, to the late Mr. L. C. Riddle and the late Mrs.Alice Maude Riddle in Gadsden Alabama.
He was one of the ten siblings born into this union. At an early age, he confessed his belief in Christ.
On Saturday morning, April 6, 2024, God whispered in his ear and said I’m ready for you my son.
He is reunited with his loved ones both parents, his sister, Donna Riddle; two brothers, Timothy Riddle and David Moore; also a special friend, Onetha Curry.
John received his diploma from Gadsden High School. After high school, he joined the Marines.
He worked at Goodyear for many years.
He leaves his loving memories to his devoted daughter, Keisha Curry of Madison, Alabama; two devoted sons, Vassa Curry and Derrick Curry of Gadsden, Alabama; six sisters, Mary Coats, Mary Riddle, Wanda Riddle, and Brenda Riddle all of Gadsden, Alabama, Gloria Dandridge of Columbus, GA and Sara Huntsman of Los Angeles, CA; three brothers, Larry Riddle and Lawrence Riddle of Gadsden, Alabama, and Alonzo Harris of Atlanta, GA; ten grandchildren, Brianna, KeAnna, LaVada, Destiny, Treviell, Briah, Micah, AiYanna, D’Errick, and Derriana; six great-grandchildren, In’Dia, Italy, RaNiya, Royce, Jasiah, and Kyndrix, and a host of other relatives and friends.
