Markel Orlando Bradford, Sr., affectionately known as “Kwick”, was the first born to Geraldine, on December 8, 1965 in Gadsden, Etowah County, Alabama.          

At the age of four, Kwick attended Hall’s Kindergarten until going to St. Martin Deporres School.  He graduated Gadsden High School, Class of 1985, and later obtained his associates degree from Rex Electronic and Engineering School in Birmingham, Al.

At an early age, Markel joined Galilee Baptist Church under the pastoral leadership of Rev. Dr. G. E. Robinson. He was a big Auburn fan and was a great supporter! He was employed by Pacific Trading and Recycling Company for many years until his health declined.

On August 2, 1996, Markel united in holy matrimony to Stephanie. This union was blessed with two beautiful children, Breyuana and Markel Jr.; and one grandson, Jayden.

He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Bradford Jr.; grandparents, Mr. Lee and Elnora Carlisle, Mr. Eugene and Bonnie Bradford Sr.; mother-in-law, Deborah Riddle, and many others.

Kwick, was a fighter and showed his strength throughout his 53 years of life. He won his battle 8:00 A.M. December 13, 2018 at Riverview Regional Medical Center. His fight was over and he went to be with the Lord.

Markel left loving memories to cherish him forever with a devoted and caring wife, Stephanie; daughter, Breyuana; son, Markel, Jr.; grandson, Jayden; mother, Geraldine; sisters, Audrey, Heather, Tracy; brother, Kelvin, Sr.; sister-in-law, Nakeisha; brother-in-law, Dejuan; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
