The life of Earl “Junior” McGraw

well done thy good and faithful servant.  Matthew 25:21

Earl McGraw was born on February 19, 1942 in Pell City, St. Clair County, Alabama to the parentage of Marie Bush McGraw and June McGraw.

Earl, also known as “Junior”, was reared in Pell City, attended school and lived his entire life in his beloved city. Shortly after graduating from high school, Earl began his journey into manhood working for the railroad and starting his own concrete finishing company.

Earl met the love of his life and was united in holy matrimony to Nolia Gover on April 19, 1964.

Earl had a very quiet demeanor about himself, however, he was a very diligent and driven employee. He took his job serious working for the railroad; at the same time he was the full time owner and operator of his own concrete finishing company. He would stay with the railroad until he retired. Once Earl decided to enjoy his retirement, he loved to spend his time fishing, grooming his yard and he also enjoyed cooking for his family.

Earl accepted Christ at Bloominglight Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Jimmy Heard. Here is where he continued to serve the Lord and remained committed to his relationship with Christ until his demise.

On Wednesday, February 6, 2019, Earl answered his call and went home to be with the Lord, reuniting with his parents, June & Marie McGraw and grandparents.

Earl leaves those to cherish his memory, his loving and devoted wife of over 54 years, Nolia McGraw; six children, Cornelia Gover, Vincent, AL, Clarissa McGraw, Birmingham, AL, Brigitte McGraw, Vincent, AL, Worshunda (Orandaryl) Collins, Lincoln, AL, Victor (Tamiko) Ragland, Atlanta, GA, Terror Ragland, Lincoln, AL; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; sister, Bettye Fomby, Lincoln, AL; mother-in-law, Bernice Gover, Pell City, AL; sister-in-law, Mary Ezell, Los Angeles, CA; brothers-in-law, L. C. Gover, James Gover, both of Pell City, AL and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
