Bonita Marcine Flint was born on March 20, 1961 to the late Larry and Eunice Flint in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Bonita had one brother, Eric Williams, who preceded her in death. She received her formal education through the Philadelphia Public School System.

Bonita was enthusiastic about her faith in God. As a young adult she joined First Corinthian Baptist Church in West Philadelphia. Without hesitation, she accepted salvation through Jesus Christ and was baptized.  Bonita loved God and Jesus; continually she expressed praise and adoration, always ready to give an account as to the depth of her gratitude and appreciation towards her God!

Bonita met the love of her life, Elton Karl Jones, and out of this union of twenty-five plus years, the three Jones’ children were born; Elton Karl, Jr., Sharif and Nicole. They were the apple and delight of their parents’ eye. Devotion and dedication to her family was the highlight of Bonita’s life. Cheerfully and lovingly, Bonita cared for all of her children and her grandchildren. She volunteered at Robert Morris Elementary School in North Philadelphia as her children attended and later gained employment there.

Bonita’s resiliency, along with her faith in Jesus Christ caused her to triumph over the unexpected and rapid demise of her beloved and affectionately known significant other, “Karl”. In addition to her many life-threatening and numerous medical calamities over an extensive period of years, Bonita was quick to “praise her God” and acknowledge how thankful she was that “God preserved her life to see another day”. Her desire to give her spiritual testimony never diminished! She was quick to answer her phone, praising her Father in heaven or telling how God had blessed her!

Bonita’s affectionate and caring disposition gained her a host of friendships that would last throughout her lifetime. Whenever she was present, her outgoing personality and beautiful spirit was exhibited. She loved to talk and truly enjoyed her late night conversations just talking about her children and grandchildren and anything and everything else she could think about just to keep the conversation going!!!

Bonita’s passion for life was the motivation behind moving to Anniston, Alabama in July 2017 to be with her companion.

God truly blessed Bonita! - born March 20, 1961 and on Wednesday, July 17, 2019, God extended His loving had and Bonita took hold and departed this life in exchange for eternal rest.

Praise God! Victory belongs to Bonita! Bonita now has a permanent residential address in Heaven!

Bonita leaves to cherish her precious memories three children, Elton, Jr., Sharif and Nicole; Grandchildren, Jamar, Khalia, Justin, Quadere, G’hanyah, Ahmia, Kahseem, Armani, Sharif, Jr., Makenzie, Journee, August, Mase, Nyleem and Jizelle; Goddaughters, Stephanie and Jenae; Godson, CJ; Sister, Tyria; Daughters-in-law, Brittany and Jameelah; Brothers-in-law, John and Willie; Sisters-in-law, Mary, Murtis and Doris; a very Special Niece, Iceis; One Aunt, Diana; sister-girlfriends, Elaine, Gloria, Carrie, Dinah and many nieces, nephews, cousins and relatives and special friends too numerous to mention!
