Samuel Lee Green was born in Gadsden on August 31, 1960 to Amos Arnell and Earlene Cothran Green.
Samuel was educated in the Attalla City School System, graduating from Etowah High School Class of 1978. After high school, he went on to attend the Gadsden Technical College where took up Body and Fender. He loved to work on cars; repairing their imperfections and making then look brand new. His favorite model car was a Firebird. If he wasn’t tinkering with and detailing a car, he was normally found working with his brother-in –law, Preston , doing carpentry work on houses.
Believing in Christ as the means of salvation, Samuel confessed Christ with his mouth. He frequently attended Creflo Dollar’s church while living in Atlanta, Georgia the last four years.
Transitioning from mortal to immortality on Tuesday, February 9, 2016, Sam now joins his parents; one sister and five brothers.
Samuel leaves to cherish his many memories his four siblings, Bonnie Green Mostiller, Gadsden, Alabama, Amos William Green, Mary Ella Green (Rev. Preston) Nix, both of Attalla, Alabama, Hayward Arnell Green, DeKalb  County, Alabama; three sisters-in-law, Mary Louise Green, Linda Green, both of Attalla, Alabama, Doris Ragland Green, Alabama; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
