To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven

Ecclesiastes 3:1

Mr. Jarvis DeWayne Gibbs, affectionately known as “Jarvo”, was born the baby and last son, at 3p.m. on Sunday, July 24, 1988, to the late Mr. Kenny D. Gibbs, Sr. and Myra F. Mcfee-Gibbs.

Jarvis confessed Jesus as his Lord and Savior at an early age under the pastorate of Rev. David Freeman. He was baptized in 2016 and was a member of the Sansom Avenue Church of Christ.

Jarvis was formally educated in the Gadsden and Attalla City School Systems. After high school, he received his CDL certification from Roadmaster Drivers School in West Memphis, Tennessee. From the time he received his CDL certification on March 21, 2014, Jarvis drove all over the country until his health declined.

In his spare time, he loved and enjoyed spending time with his children, working on cars, fishing, mudracing, horseback riding and spending time and teaching Kenny, II the way of life.

Until his final hour, you could find him smiling and there was NEVER a dull moment with Jarvis.

Jarvis was preceded in death by his father, Kenny, Sr.; grandparents, Mr. Charlie and Laura Gibbs and grandmother, Mrs. Ollie M. McFee.

Jarvis left his earthly home to reunite with his daddy and other loved ones He received his ‘well done’ from God, peacefully, surrounded by loved ones at 8:30 in the morning on Thursday, June 22, 2017.

At the end of each life is a legacy of love and memories. Hold tight to those memories…. Lean on each other for support. And look to God’s Word, the Bible, for comfort and strength. 1 Peter 5:7 encourages; “Throw all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you.”
