Connie Frances Pearline Evans was born on March 14, 1940 in Sylacauga, Alabama to Mr. & Mrs. Eugene & Pearl Jackson. Later in life, they moved their family to Gadsden, Alabama.

Connie gave her life to Christ and dedicated her life to the Lord, joining Antioch Baptist Church.

Connie attended the Gadsden City School System graduating from Carver High School.

Later after high school, Connie decided to further her education, completing her training in nursing. For many years, she worked as a nurse’s assistant at UAB Hospital in Birmingham before returning back home to pursue her true passion; cooking. Connie enjoyed cooking for her family and for others. She truly was a people person and was very well known throughout the neighborhood.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, her sister, brother-in-law, nephew and niece.

Connie leaves to cherish her loving memories, four daughters, Ms. Cynthia Elston, Gadsden, AL Ms. Juanita Graves, Gadsden, AL Ms. Annie Joan (Frankie)Pope all of Gadsden, AL, Ms. Connie F. Whitfield, Ohatchee, AL; one son, Mr. Everette (Mary) Jones, Easley, S.C.; 20 grandchildren, thirthy great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and many many dear friends.

Grief can be so hard, but our cherished memories help us cope. Hold tight to those memories…. Lean on each other for support…. And look to God’s word the Bible, for comfort and strength. James 4:8 encourages; “Draw close to God, and He will draw close to you.”
