Travis Tyrone Jackson was born on August 9, 1966 in Collinsville, Alabama to George Edward and Willie L. “Susie” Carnegie Jackson.
Travis accepted Christ at an early age and united with Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Collinsville.
Travis graduated from Collinsville High School in 1984 where he excelled in sports. Along with baseball and softball, Travis was well known for his talents in basketball, #5, and football, #9. His teammates and ‘his fans’ all knew him as “Action Jackson”.
Travis was a very personable individual and you could always find him riding around the neighborhood listening to music – that was his was of checking up on everyone – and enjoying his favorite pastime watching the Auburn Tigers compete in football.
Travis departed this life on Friday, May 4, 2018. He was preceded in death by his father, George E. Jackson; grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Edward Carnegie; grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Flint Moore, Decatur; two aunts, Johnnie Mae Pointer, Denise Moore; two uncles, Thomas Grisby and Kenneth Moore.
Mr. Jackson leaves to cherish his memories, a loving and devoted mother, Willie L. “Susie” Jackson, Collinsville, AL; one son, Travis D’Andre Pendleton, Huntsville, AL; sister, Tracee Moore & niece, Kendreia Moore, both of Collinsville, AL; aunts, Barbara (Thomas) Townsend, Glenda Carnegie, both of Huntsville AL, Shirley Moore, Ashville, AL, Martha Moore , Columbus, GA, Dorothy Davis, Decatur, GA; uncles, Richard (Glenda) Moore, Fort Payne, AL, Dallas (Brenda) Moore, Decatur, AL, Flenory (Mary) Moore, Attalla, AL; special cousins, Jan London, Jason Carnegie, both of Huntsville, AL; special friend, Judy Ford and a host of loving relatives and friends.

Grief can be so hard, but our cherished memories help us cope. Hold tight to those memories…. Lean on each other for support…. And look to God’s word the Bible, for comfort and strength. James 4:8 encourages; “Draw close to God, and He will draw close to you.”
