On, August 4, 1937, Rosa Lee Allen Falkner was born to the union of the late Charlie and Paralee Majors Allen. She was the oldest of five children born, through this union, in Cherokee County. 


At an early age, Rosa Lee, confessed her faith in Jesus Christ, and joined Providence Baptist Church. After she moved to Cleveland , Ohio she later joined Pilgrim Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Brown. Rosa served faithfully as the president of the usher board #2, for two years.


Rosa Lee returned back to her home town in Leesburg, Alabama, in 1998, and moved her membership back to Providence Baptist Church.  She was a dedicated member of the Missionary Society, Sunday School Secretary, an President of the Usher Board until her health started to deteriorate.


Rosa Lee was educated in the Cherokee County School System.  She attended Hatcher High, where she graduated with the class of 1957.


Ms. Rosa Lee departed this earthly life on Saturday, June 23, 2018, at St. Vincent East Birmingham, Al. She was proceeded in death by her  grandparents, her parents; Charlie and Paralee Majors Allen, her sister; Dorothy Nell Hood, her brother; Marvin L. Allen, and her brother- in-law; Clarence Dupree.


She leaves to cherish her memories: one sister; Irene Dupree, one brother; J.C (Marilyn) Allen, two sister-in-laws; Ethel Allen, Ercell Wade, one brother-in-law; Willie C. Hood, nieces; Lynn(James) Mccary, Sharon Walker, Darlene (Cedric) Williams, Monica Hood, Nikki Allen, Holly Starr,  Farrah (Tommy) Alexander, nephews; William (Sherri)Dupree, James Dupree, Stephen Dupree, Jack (Lindsey) Dupree, Clenta (Angela) Walker, Jeff ( Carrie) Dupree, great nieces, Shequita Wood, Brianna (Mike) Jones, Kyonna Dupree, Raven Williams, great nephews; Jamon (Jessika) Mccary, Jadarius Mccary, Javeas Mccary, Jevante Hood, Carter Leach, Demetrius Brown, also a host of great-great nieces and nephews, two aunts; Celia Jackson, Dorothy V. Walton, one uncle; Ike Whatley, very special friends; Lovey Canada, Emma Cherry, Willie Fleet, Emma & James Ammons, Carol Major, Hester Douglas, a chosen daughter; Monica Crawford and grands Alric, Ariyah, K.J, and a host of relatives, friends and church family.

I would like to express my deepest sympathy to your family for the loss of your loved one. The loss of someone in death can be a very difficult time for families. Grief is a feeling that everyone deals with it in their own way. Jesus reacted to the death of his friend Lazarus even though he had the power to bring him back to life. (John 11:33-35) By resurrecting Lazarus and others Jesus demonstrated on a small scale what he will do as the King of God’s Kingdom worldwide in fulfillment of Jehovah’s promise at Revelation 21:3-5.
