Music by The Piano Brothers

Betty was born December 8, 1940 in Gadsden, Etowah County, Alabama to George and Johnnie R. Williams.

Betty attended school in the Gadsden City School System, graduating from Carver High School.

Betty was 17 years old when she relocated to Centralia, Illinois where she married and started her family with Mr. Wilton Overall. To this union, three children were born.

Betty lived a full, prosperous life in Centralia, before returning back home to Gadsden in 1987. Once returning back home, she worked for the railroad as a laborer until her retirement.

Betty was a person that believed in solid, honest work ethics and that was portrayed in the love for her community and everyone she came in contact with. She loved participating in the activities that were held here in our beloved community and of course, participating in every program, meeting, etc. that dealt with the Central-Carver Revitalization Committee. Betty remained a consistent confidant and participant in her neighborhood until her untimely demise. Many of her friends will miss playing some of her favorite card games, Pokeno and the like.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Wilton Overall; two daughters, Kim D. Overall and Sabrina A. Overall and sister, Anna R. Kirby.

Betty leaves those to cherish her memory, her loving and devoted daughter,  Uneeda L. (Samuel) Lee, Tuscaloosa, AL; grandchildren, Terence E. (Holly) Overall, Centralia IL, Keonia S. Overall, Gadsden, AL, Detric D. Lee, Mobile, AL, Germanay D. Lee, Tuscaloosa, AL; nine great grandchildren, DeVonte Overall, Kyniesha Overall, Tequyrin Overall, Kymberlee Overall, Jayson Overall, Serenity Overall, all of Centralia IL, Terry Smith, Angel Smith, Gadsden, AL, Kai J. Davis, Mobile, AL; one great-great grandson, Hezekiah Dabney, Centralia, IL; brother, Robert Williams, Gadsden, AL and a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many dear friends.

Interment following at Elmwood Cemetery in Centralia, Illinois.
