Anthony Nekita Montgomery, affectionately known as "Kita" was born April 1, 1968 in New York City, New York to the late Barbara Ann Thompson and Robert Williams.

Anthony accepted Christ at an early age and was reared in a loving and God fearing home in Ashville, Alabama.

Anthony attended school in the St. Clair County School System, graduating from Ashville High School.  Upon graduation he developed a tremendous work ethic, joining the United States Army. Anthony separated from the Army after serving 8 years as an infantryman.

In 2007, Anthony accepted a job in Afghanistan as a Logistician. After his tour overseas, he worked in a variety of customer service related jobs.

Anthony was very friendly and well liked by all. He never met a stranger and was the life of the party. He was an adoring and loving father, son, brother, nephew and cousin.

Anthony departed this life on September 2, 2018 and is now at rest with the Lord. He has been reunited with his family in Heaven, mother, Barbara Ann Thompson  and his brother, Kevin Montgomery.

Those left to cherish his wonderful life of 50 years, his children, Natasha Montgomery of Germany, Victoria Montgomery, Lakewood, WA, Raven Montgomery, Austin, TX, Deja Montgomery, Columbus, MS, Anthony X. Montgomery, Lakewood, WA, Aspen Montgomery, Lakewood, WA, Justin Montgomery, Lakewood, WA, Nathias Montgomery, Denver, CO, Myles Montgomery, Colorado Springs, CO, Mya Montgomery, Colorado Springs, CO, Devon Montgomery, Colorado Springs, CO; two brothers, Ronald Montgomery, Gadsden, AL, Emell Montgomery, Winnemucca, NV; one sister, Kesharra Thompson, Gadsden, AL; five uncles, Norman (Deborah) Montgomery, Ashville, AL, Marvin (Merlyn) Montgomery, Huntsville, AL, Russell Byers, Ashville, AL,  Perry Byers, Gadsden, AL, Wallace Byers of Connecticut; two aunts, Ella (Jerry) Mostella, Ashville, AL, Elizabeth Bothwell, Colorado Springs, CO and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many dear friends.

And He will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.
