James Wright was born November 1, 1939 to the parentage of James
and Dutreal Wright in Attalla, Etowah County, Alabama.

James grew up in Attalla and attended the Attalla City School System.
He graduated from Norris High School. After graduation he was employed by
Republic Steel, later known as Gulf State Steel. James worked for the steel plant for several decades until his retirement.

James was dearly loved by his family and friends and was known by
several different names like, Chronchi, Bubba and James. Likewise, he created names for his family members and friends. In his spare time he enjoyed baseball and football. James loved to cook however, eating leftovers was not something he enjoyed; nor eating fast food on a regular basis.

James enjoyed giving to his family and friends daily. He was an excellent
bargain hunter. No one could beat him finding special deals. He loved fresh
produce and often shared his “produce finds” with his family and friends.

James enjoyed talking to people and never met a stranger. When people left after visiting him at home, he would often say, “I enjoyed that.” He had a very big heart.

He shared his life with Mary Billingsley, children and grandchildren for
a number of years. He was especially close to his god-daughter, Barbie “CC”

James was preceded in death by his parents, James and Dutreal Wright; and
his sister, Shirley Ann Hairston.

James leaves those to cherish his memories, sister, Joyce Outlaw, Dublin
GA; niece, Debra Hairston of West Virginia; special cousins, Brenda Swift,

I'm sorry for the loss of your dear loved one. May Jehovah the God of all comfort bring you peace.(2 Corinthians 1:3,4) The Bible also tells us that Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit. (Psalm 34:18)
