Garyian Duran Moore was born May 19, 1964 in Pell City, St. Clair County, Alabama, to the parentage of Mr. Robert and Mrs. Renner J. (McAfee) Moore.

At an early age, Garyian gave his life to Christ and developed a personal relationship with the Lord.

Garyian, affectionately known as ‘Buddy’, attended primary and secondary school in the St. Clair County School System graduating from Pell City High School.

‘Buddy’ lived the early years of his life in Pell City before relocating and making Rome, Georgia his home. Before leaving his beloved hometown, Gary, along with his brother and a couple of friends, were known throughout St. Clair County as a very talented gospel group called God’s Sweetest Inspiration.

Gary worked a number of years doing construction work, setting and building the foundation for a number of buildings in St. Clair County area. He is remembered by his family by the dedicated and proud he was when he was doing masonry work with bricks and block foundations.

Gary answered his Master’s call on Wednesday, June 12, 2019. He was preceded in death by his mother; sister, Christina Moore and his grandparents.

He leaves his most cherished memories to his daughter, Sharmaine Moore; grandchildren, Silas Ashley, Anthony Kimbrough, all of Anniston, AL; father, Robert Moore, Sr., Youngstown, OH; siblings, Christopher (Kimberly) Moore, Ragland, AL, Robert (Lizette) Moore, Jr., Franklin, TN, Margarite Moore, Talladega, AL, LaKecia Brown, Youngstown, OH and special friends, cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.


Celebration of Life Service is 1:00 p.m.,Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at First Baptist Church-Cropwell, Rev. Daniel I. Johnson, Officiating, Bishop Donald Gover, Sr., Eulogist. Interment following at Robinson Chapel Cemetery. Family will receive friends, 4-7p.m. at Adams-Buggs Funeral Service-St. Clair Chapel.
