On, August 17, 1960 Mr. Andrew Bernard Parker, affectionately known as brother, was the first born son of the late Ms. Bessie Mae Parker and Mr. Jerry Lee Tinker, in Gadsden Alabama.

 

Andrew was reared in, Gadsden, and educated in the Gadsden City School System.

 

 At an early age, Andrew came to know God and was united with Sweet Home United Methodist Church. He later united with The Tabernacle Church, under the leadership of Pastor Tommy Marshall, were he remained a faithful member, until his death.

 

On June 30, 2019, Andrew answered the Master's call, and entered into eternal rest. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Johnny Huff Sr., Michael Tinker, Barbara Williams, and Sheila Posey.

He leaves to cherish his memories his sister, Myra Gantt; brothers, Larry Parker, Burton (Ruth) Tinker, Richard (Linda)Davis; sister-in-law, Shirley Huff; brother-in-law, David Posey; aunt, Nommie (John) Dillingham; nieces, Tiffany (Cory) Dunn, Sonya Bufford, Tara (Chauncey) Holston, Michelle (Stanley) Baldwin; nephews, Rodney Parker, Andre Jemison, Dewayne Huff, Johnny (Veronica) Huff Jr., Ralph Watts III, Myron Watts; great nieces, Samaiyah Bufford, Keiona Williams, Kalen Dunn, Alexis Tinker, Darrelyn Rudolph, Charity Wilden, Daneionna Watts; great nephews, Joshua Williams, Elijah Dunn, Isaiah Dunn, Demetrius Huff, Tylan Huff, Noah Huff;great great nephews, Jyshawn Williams,  Mason Williams; great great niece, Zoyah Bufford;special friends, Bernice Haley, Darryl Haley, Brick Haley, James Smith, Ricky Golsby, Freddie Carver, Derrick Milliner, Darryl Wayne Lovelace, Rozell Wise, Larry Milliner, Charles Zeigler, Petey Posey, Tony Posey, Stephanie Ashley,  Cindy (Dan) Mattox, Willie Wilson; special cousins, Tony Davis,  Brenda Sims, Ladonna O'Lear; class of 1978; 11th street projects family; and many many dear friends. 

 

Celebration of Life Service is 2:00 p.m.,Saturday, July 6, 2019 at The Tabernacle Church, Pastor Tommy Marshall, Pastor and Eulogist. Family will receive friends, 6-7p.m., Friday, July 5, 2019, at Adams-Buggs Funeral Service-Etowah Chapel.

We give thanks to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for the love and joy Andrew gave us. We pray and hope that God will comfort, give you strength, and understanding during this time. May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

My dear Myra and all the family of baby brother,
with great sadness please accept my deepest sympathy in the loss in your brother.
May our loving heavenly Father comfort you today and in the days to come as we await the fulfillment of his promise guaranteed by his son Christ Jesus that death will be put to nothing and our love ones will live again. Acts 24:15, Rev. 21:3,4.
