Natalye Chlores Spencer, affectionately known as ‘Cole-Cole’, was born April 14, 1960 in Gadsden, Etowah County, Alabama to Mrs. Azerine Sewell and the late Mr. Adolf Scissum.
She confessed Christ at an early age; her children and grandchildren called her blessed.
‘Cole-Cole’ completed her education in the Gadsden City School System where she attended the historical Litchfield High School, now known as Litchfield Middle School.
In 1976, ‘Cole-Cole’ was united in holy matrimony to the late Mr. Charles Allen Spears.
‘Cole-Cole’ was a woman with an extremely loving and infectious personality. Her heart was swollen with love for family and friends. She spent most of her time being the caregiver for her mother and sister. Everyone would say that she had a green thumb ,she could grow anything, loved to cook, have friends over to entertain, was quite witty, had a heart of gold and was a comedian in her own rights. One thing that will never be second-guessed is that she loved her family unconditionally.
Anyone who was around her for any extended length of time would at some point hear her say this, “Who’s gonna love you like ‘Cole’ love you?”- and she meant it.
Her time here on Earth may only have been for a little while, but the impact she made in her loved ones’ lives will forever be a memory of joy even during their time of sorrow.
On August 6, 2019 Natalye Chlores Spencer Spears gained her Heavenly wings. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Allen Spears; sister, Queenie E. Spencer and brother-in-law, Jeffery Spears.

‘Cole’ leaves to cherish her memories, a loving mother, Mrs. Azerine Spencer Sewell, Gadsden, AL; two daughters, Tobitha (Dewayne) Rowe, Hinesville, GA, Teffney Spears, Gadsden, AL; one son, John Spears, Jr., Gadsden, AL; five step-children, Constance (Joe) Blount, Gadsden, AL, Charles (Kay) Spears, Jr., Orlando, FL, Jalania Lewis, Gadsden, AL, Chris Spears, Denver, CO, Leonard Spears, Chicago, IL; eight grandchildren, Christia (Chris) Hollinger, Christopher Thomas, Jr., Chrishawna Thomas, Dwayne Rowe, Jr., Azlyne Williams, Destyni Rowe, John Spears, Jr., Isaih Searcey; 18 step-grandchildren; two sisters, Nora Spencer, Seneria Kelly, both of Gadsden, AL; one brother, Stokes (Zallancia) Spencer, Gadsden, AL; four sisters-in-law, Teresa Rudolph, Mary (Staffon) Huntley, Sylvia (Jarvis) Holifield, Angela (Tommy) Dandridge, all of Gadsden, AL; one brother-in-law, Sylvester (Priscilla) Spears, Piedmont, AL and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Time sometimes take people in different directions, the heart holds memories that no one can take away. I will always remember our good times together and the friendship/sistership Natalye gave to me when I first met her. I pray 🙏 the Spears Family will find peace and comfort in CHRIST knowing that there's no sorrow that Heaven can't heal...Peace and Blessings!
