Music by The Piano Brothers

Arthur Frank "Red" Woodget was born December 3, 1946 in Gadsden, Etowah County, Alabama to the union of the late Arthur Frank and Lizzie Mae Smith Woodget.

Arthur's formal education was received in the Gadsden City School System, graduating from Carver High School. After graduating high school, Arthur went on to serve his country in the United States Army and National Guard until he was honorably discharged. He also received his carpentry certification from Gadsden State Technical College in 1981.

"Red", as he was affectionately known by many, was employed with Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company for over 30 years before he retired. He enjoyed frequenting the casino, riding his bike and taking care of his (other children) beloved dogs. "Red" had a natural charisma with the ladies and was a 'Romeo' of his era.

"Red" departed this earthly life on Sunday, September 8, 2019 after receiving Christ as his Lord and Saviour. He was preceded in this departure by his parents; three sisters and one brother.

Those left to cherish his memories are his children, Jonathan (Lisa) Butler, Nicole Hale, Angela (Pastor Ricky) Tillis, all of Gadsden, AL, Tiffany Brown (Alice) Cockerham, Dallas, GA; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, James Melvin Woodget, Detriot, MI; special friend and caretaker, Ann White W.; a host of nieces, nephews and friends too numerous to name.

Celebration of Life will be 1:00p.m. Thursday September 12, 2019 at the Etowah Chapel of Adams-Buggs Funeral Service with visitation beginning at 12 Noon. Pastor Ivan Cattling, Sr. will officiate service with interment following at Lincoln Hill Cemetery.
