Music by The Piano Brothers

Steven Wayne Johnson was born May 25, 1958 in Gadsden, Etowah County, Alabama to the union of James and Juanita M. McKinney Johnson.

Steven had a passion for cooking. And, he loved to cook a great meal and serve it to his loved
ones and especially his children and grandchildren. This was a gift that he shared with others as
often as possible.

In his younger years he loved to ride motorcycles. You could often find him at the
neighborhood park spending time with friends.

Towards the end of his life, he found a strong desire to learn more about God. He longed to
dedicate his life to Jehovah. He was at his very best when those around him could see the
changes he fought so hard to make for his love of Jehovah. During his final week with us, he
made it to the Kingdom Hall like he so desired. He truly longed to make Jehovah’s heart rejoice
and longed to fight through his past struggles to please his God.

Steven departed his life on Friday, September 20, 2019. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Anthony Hale; father, James Johnson; sister, Gia P. Johnson and brother, Reginald Johnson.

Steven is survived by his four children, Toi Worthy, Gadsden AL, Jasmine Davis, Birmingham, AL, James "Jazz" Steven Johnson, Gadsden AL, Cassie Wright. North Carolina; fifteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; mother, Juanita Johnson. Stone Mountain GA; brothers, Daryal (Reshonda) Johnson, Lithonia GA, Larry (Della) Johnson, Stone Mountain, GA; two nephews raised as brothers, Phillip Johnson, Ira Zeigler Johnson, both of Gadsden, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation with the family will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 pm. Wednesday, September 25, 2019
at the Etowah Chapel of Adams-Buggs Funeral Service with service starting at 1:00 pm. Cremation will follow service.

In your sorrow, may there be peace……. In your thoughts, may there be love…...In your hearts, may there be healing. Psalm 147:3 promises:”He heals the brokenhearted, He binds up their wounds.
