 Annie Lee Tucker McDaniel was born April 12, 1947 in Hale County Alabama to the union of he late Roosevelt and Annie Mae Hudson Tucker. 

Annie received her formal education in the county of her birth. She accepted Christ at a young age at St. James Baptist Church, Cyprus, AL.

June 16, 1980, Annie united in the bonds of holy matrimony to Samuel David McDaniel. Their union was blessed with eight children. The couple made Pell City, Alabama their new home together with their blended family. Upon moving to Pell City, they united in fellowship with First Baptist Church of Riverside, Alabama under the pastorate of Rev. McRath. They later united with Greater Grace Church, Ashville, Alabama under the pastorate of Bishop Terry A. Jones. This is were they were saved and filled with the Holy Ghost. 

For many years, Annie worked as a cook for Rosewood Manor until retirement. After retirement, she enjoyed fishing and the casino. She was know to many as "Fishing Lady". When she was unable to go to the casino, you could find her playing the casino on her phone. 

Annie departed this earthly life on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at the St. Vincent's St. Clair Hospital, Pell City, Alabama after an extended illness. She was preceded in death by her step-son, Terry McDaniel; ten siblings, Roosevelt Tucker, Mary L. Gilmore, Mary B. Tucker, Carrie M. Tucker, Tommie C. Tucker, Annie W. Hatter, Willie C. Tucker, James L. Tucker, Watson Tucker and Amelia L. Tucker. 

Those left to cherish her many memories are her loving and devoted husband, Samuel McDaniel, Pell City, AL; children, Earl Tucker, Henry Tucker, both of Pell City, AL, Shaqueta (Chaz) Vessie, Talladega, AL; children in love, David (Carolyn) McDaniel, Pell City, AL, Lavon (Dorothy) McDaniel, Spring Lake, NC, Sandra (Benjamin) Wallace, Rochester, NY, Shirley Faye (Edward) Wheeler, Colorado Spring, CO; ten grandchildren;  four great-grandchildren; one sister, Lula Bell Blocker, San Antonio, TX; sster-in-law, Roberta Tucker, Moundville, AL; brother-in-law, William Gilmore, Birmingham, AL; a host of step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Celebration of Life will be 1:00p.m. Friday, November 8, 2019 at the St. Clair Chapel of Adams-Buggs Funeral Service, 1716 Cogswell Avenue, Pell City, AL. Bishop Terry A. Jones will officiate.

Ms. McDaniel has left behind a beautiful legacy. It was an honor to meet her, her husband and her daughter, Shaqueta. My heart goes out to the family. I pray for God's comfort for the family.
