Vivian Armella, the oldest of six children, was born on November 6, 1929 in Cherokee County, Alabama to the parentage of the late Elbert Glover and Emma Foster Glover.

Vivian joined New Bethel United Methodist Church in Ball Play, AL at an early age and was a dedicated and devout member until her health failed .Vivian attended elementary school in the Ballplay Community. She then attended Carver High School, Gadsden, AL. After graduating from High School, she attended Alabama A & M University and received her B.S. Degree. While at A&M, she became a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority. She began her teaching career at Hatcher High School and ended her career at Centre Elementary School. She was employed as an educator in the Cherokee County School System for 25 years.

In 1954 she was united in the bonds of holy matrimony to Alphonso Booker. To this union, two children were born. Her husband and three of her siblings, Iva Nell, Robert L. and Leonard Tryce preceded her in death.

Vivian was a gentle and loving soul. She had a gentle laugh, a big heart and a grand smile. She welcomed anyone in her home with a big hello. She also loved her garden and her flowers. She was a loving mother, grandmother and aunt. Being around children was her life and joy. Her beautiful soul will be missed on this earth, but she is now sharing joy and peace with the Lord.

Vivian answered the Savior’s call and went home to eternal peace on February 24, 2020. She can roam around heaven’s garden all day and night. She is at peace.
