Eleanor D. Hendrix was born December 9, 1942 to the union of William McKinney Dempsey and Lois Clifton-Dempsey.

Eleanor confessed Christ as her savior later on in her life and became a member of the Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church until her health declined. Eleanor loved collecting phones, being a devoted wife and spending time with her family and friends.  She was caring and loving to many and loved making everyone smile and feel special, especially her 3- special babies Deon, Darien and Zarria whom she cherished more than anything.

                Eleanor departed this life on Thursday, February 27, 2020.  She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Gaynell Robertson, Ida Jane Hodges, Dorothy Ann Gunter, Helen Louise Browder and her niece. Sharon Browder.

                Those left to cherish her memory are her devoted loving husband Preston T. Hendrix, Fort Payne, AL; special great nephews & great niece: Darien Allen, Deon Allen, Zarria Nelson, Chattanooga, TN; brother, Jack Dempsey (Janice); sisters-in-law, Lola Underwood, Minnie Ruth Brown, Fort Payne, AL; brother-in-law, Clemmie Leroy Hendrix, Collinsville, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended families and friends.
