With heartfelt sympathy we announce the passing of Mr. Floyd Morris, age 60, of Gadsden, who passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2020.

Mr. Floyd Morris was born March 27, 1960 in Pell City, Alabama to the late Lillie B. Morris and Rayfield Herring. 

Floyd attended Emma Sansom High School and graduated with the class of 1979. He was employed by the City of Gadsden for fifteen years. The remainder of his years he detailed cars. He was a very loving guy and was loved by everyone. He never met a stranger. 

Floyd was preceded in death by his great-granddaughter, Ja’Nyiah Pearl; his brothers, Clinton Beavers, Jim Mosely Herring, Billy James Herring; sister, Betty Rae Herring.  

Floyd is survived by his children, Bronta (Shalae) Cooper and his mother, Toni Cooper, Jermane (Courtney) Pearl, both of Gadsden, AL, Te’Rae (Barry) Brown and their mother, Terri Pearl, Myrtle Beach, SC, Torlanda Duckett, Tosunda Duckett, both of Gadsden, AL; grandchildren, Zyrion, TiTyana, Alayah, Terica, Gabriel, Tomaz, Zimiraha, Ja’Quantay, Jarmal, MaKayla, Kyland, Kyleigh, Terrance; great-grandchildren, Brenton, Braeliegh; brothers, Ernest (Joyce) Morris, Gadsden, AL, Linton Beavers, Detroit, MI; sisters, Laura (John) Bell, Para O’Kee, both of Gadsden, AL, Vera (Larry) Corbett, Talladega, AL, Terri Beavers, Detroit, MI; aunts, Clara Mae Baxter, Anderson, IN, Shirley Jean Morris, Gadsden, AL; uncles, Monroe Morris, Johnny Morris, both of Harrisburg, PA; special brothers, Andy Curry; special friends, Dale Robinson, Lisa Williams, Stanley Cole; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other friends.  

Celebration of Life will be 1:00p.m. Saturday, October 3, 2020 at the Etowah Chapel of Adams-Buggs Funeral Service with interment following at Rainbow Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4:00-6:00p.m. Friday, October 2, 2020 at the Etowah Chapel of Adams-Buggs Funeral Service.

Thankyou Floyd for everything you have done for me. You were loved and I am sorry I didnt get to make it. I know you know now that I am where I need to be and I know your happy for me looking down. Little Waylon and I will miss you.
