It is with deep sympathy that we announce the passing of Mr. James Henry Carter of LinevilleAL, who transitioned on May 6, 2021 at the age of 80.  We ask that you keep his family in your thoughts and prayers.


James Henry Carter was born May 5, 1941 in Randolph County to the late Mr. Joe Bob Carter Sr. and a Mrs. Lonnie Mae Carter. Mr. Carter went to Freewill Worship Center Church in Goodwater, Al. 
Mr. Carter was self-employed most of his life. Mr. Carter was a very hard worker, a devoted husband, and a loving father. Mr. Carter loved working on vehicles and repairing lawnmowers.
On February 4, 1967, Mr. Carter united in Holy Matrimony to Ms. Pauline Thomas. In that union four children were born.
Mr. Carter was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth James Carter; parents Joe Bob Carter Sr. and Lonnie Mae Carter.
He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted wife Ms. Pauline Carter of Lineville, Al; three daughters Eleanor Faye Carter of Lineville, Al, Charlotte Yvonne Wilson, Shelia (Kenneth) Thomas both of Millerville, Al; four sons, Kenneth (Snoop) Carter, Howard (Vanessa) Williamson, Joey (Julie) Tatum, all of Lineville, Al, Jeffrey Mclain of Anniston, Al; two brothers, Joe Bob Carter, Jr. of Lineville, Al. Rodney Welch of Pittsburg, Pa; five sisters, Lucille Gibbons, Louise (Walter) Thomas, Bonnie (Pat) Barker all of Lineville, Al, Brenda (Isaac) Garrett of Childersburg, Al, Brenda (Earl) Esters of Detroit, MI; two sister-in-laws, Annie (James) Garrett, Julia Mclain both of Lineville, Al; ten grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews.
