With heartfelt sympathy, we announce the earthly transition of Aerial Savant Hall Sr. of Gadsden, who traded time for eternity on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at the age of 56. We ask that you keep his family and friends in your prayers during this most difficult time.
Mr. Aerial Savant Hall, Sr. was born on July 31,1968 in Gadsden, Alabama to Hugh Don Hall, Sr. and Betty Jean Hall.
Aerial gave his life to God at a young age and was baptized at Macedonia Baptist Church under the pastorage of Reverend Hubert Baker. Aerial met many of his lifelong friends while attending Emma Sansom High School. It was there that he developed a deep passion for athletics. He ran track and proudly wore the Number 44 as his football team won a championship in 1987, during his senior year. He loved to remind everyone of his love for the purple and gold and yelled “Go Rebels” on many occasions. His love for sports would continue throughout his lifetime as he was a loyal supporter of the Auburn Tigers.
Aerial served admirably in the United States Army, where he would serve until 1996. He also used his talents to lead youth, whether through his employment with Job Corps, working with the Boys and Girls Club, or volunteering in the schools and in the neighborhood.
Regardless of the task, big or small, Aerial Hall was the man to call. No matter if he was
called to take illustrious photos, grill his famous cabbage, perform yardwork, or run the pool table, “Holmes” was truly a master of many talents. Aerial cared deeply for his community and his door was open to anyone who knocked. Aerial’s devotion to his community and his adventurous spirit would merge as he would go on to join the Blacktop Burners bike club and enjoyed his last days riding into the sunset.
Aerial was called home to be with the Lord on June 14, 2025. Aerial is preceded in death by
his parents, Hugh Don Hall, Sr. and Betty Hall; uncle, Percy Hall and his wife Jewel; and cousin, David Sandridge.
He is survived by his loving sons, Le Mar Aerial Knaus and Aerial Savant Hall, Jr.; sisters, Sonya Hall and Frances Sandridge; brothers, Don Hall, Bobby (Ella) Hall, and Victor Davis; bonus sister and brother, Beotis and Angela McClain, godchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and close friends.
