Alice Hann Obituary

With heartfelt sympathy, we announce the earthly transition of Alice Jean Bass Hann of Ashland,  who traded time for eternity on Sunday,  November 3, 2024, at the age of 77.

Mrs. Alice J. Bass Hann began life's journey in Clay County, AL, to the parentage of the late Dallas and Era Mae Bass on January 2, 1947.

Alice humbly gave her life to Christ at an early age, trusting and following His Holy Word as a devout Christian.

Alice worked at Tyson Foods in Ashland, AL for many years where she was respected for her dedication and hard work. Alice approached every task with diligence and integrity leaving a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of working beside her until she became disabled in 2004.

Alice was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, cousin and friend. She so lovingly touched the lives of those she met with her welcoming spirit, gentle nature, and unconditional love. She will be missed but never forgotten by many who adored and loved her.  She will forever live in our hearts, as she is peacefully resting in the comforting arms of Christ.

On Sunday, November 3, 2024, Alice answered the Masters' call at her home peacefully. She was wonderfully cared for by the team at Southerncare New Beacon Hospice. God in His special way will call us home. God's timing is perfect from a Heavenly perspective, to solely imagine the beauty and glory that awaited Alice in Heaven should bring an overwhelming sense of peace that only God can give, as we all envision her singing in the angle's choir in the presence of our Glorious Father and King.

Alice united in holy matrimony to the late John Edward Hann on October 3, 1981.

Alice was blessed to leave a legacy of love and many cherished memories to her children, Rhonda Hann, Michael Hann, Lineville AL, Melinda (Stanley) Smith, Lineville, AL, Angelia Bass, Ashland, AL, Sheila (John) Ware, Anniston, AL, Carolyn (Charles) Gibbons, Lineville, AL, Kenny (Larsinia) Hann Talladega, AL, Mary Bass, Ashland, AL, Andrew Ford, Angela (Terrell) Marberry; Alice was undeniably loved by all her grandchildren, Trell Jackson, Michael Bass, Johnathan Kerley, Jolen Ware, Kenya Bass, Vanessa Sims, Courtney Evans, Charles Hann, Justin Bass, Shatima Smith, Jaylon Bass, Kendra Gibbons, Kera Ford, Denisha Ford, Tyeshia Ford, and Omarion Marbury; Alice also had 12 great-grandchildren, one loving sister, Barbara C.
