It is with deep sympathy we announce the passing of Miss Altheia Wright of Rocky Mount, NC formally of Gadsden, AL, who transitioned on Sunday, June 5, 2022, at the age of 60. Altheia Regina Wright (Theia) was born on December 2, 1961, to the late Jimmy Louis Wright, Sr., and Robbie Jean Wright-Snow. Altheia confessed Christ at an early age. She later joined Eastside Baptist Church, Altoona, AL under the leadership of Pastor Joseph Nix. She worked faithfully in the church until she moved to Rocky Mount, NC. She attended schools in the Gadsden City School System.
Altheia was preceded in death by her father, Jimmy Louis Wright, Sr.; brother, James Louis Wright; sister, Yolanda Wright; nephew, Brandon Lashun Kirkpatrick; cousin, Cordarryl Gary; sister-in-Christ, Jannie Nix.
Altheia was a hairdresser, she enjoyed going to the casino, playing cards, cooking, and was an Auburn Fan.
Altheia loved her two daughters dearly, Cassie Faye-Shun (Montez) Waller, Sr., and Candi Ca’leia Wright (Quentin) Evans; her three grandchildren, Carmello Swain, Cylan Sanders, and Carson Waller; mother, Robbie Jean Snow; brothers, Derek Wright, Wilbert (Duke) Wright, Kelvin Harriell, and Fernando Sitts; sisters, Phelonese Wright, and Tomeyka Porter; aunts, Jacqueline Lewis, Faye Gary, Loretta Brown, Irma Deramus, Glenda Hardy; special cousins, Stacey and Tracy Gary; special nieces, Jamie Wright, Lola Wright, Brandi Williams, Auriell Smith, Ashley Melson; special nephews, Daryl Hoskin, Tracy Jones, and Derek Wright, Jr.; special great-nieces, Jamia Wright, and Jayla Glass; special great-nephews, Jakwavis Wright, J’Untae Wright, and Jaiden Williams, and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
