Alycia Lorraine Buggs-Lee was born on July 27, 1960 in Gadsden, Alabama. to the late Lonnie and Annie Ruth Buggs being the sixth to ten children. Alycia passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2023 in Glencoe, AL.
Alycia (Lisa) graduated in the Class of 1978 from Emma Sansom High School. Upon graduation from high school, she entered the United States Army where she served for eight years and received an honorable discharge in 1986. She moved to Cincinnati, Ohio and resided there for a number of years before moving back to her hometown in 2006. She was employed by the Department of Veterans Affairs as a Medical Support Assistant until her retirement in 2015.
She was preceded in death by her son, Frank Lee Jr., her parents, Lonnie and Annie Ruth Buggs, and her brother, Anthony Buggs.
Those left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Alyah Danielle Lee (Jeremiah Richardson) of Rainbow City, AL, her six sisters, Gwendolyn (Val) Alford, Andrea (Jackie) Granger, Angela (Gregory) Leach, Tracie (Melvin) Guyton of Gadsden, AL, Leslie Fearn of Meridianville, AL, Carla Buggs of Huntsville, AL. and her two brothers, Sylvester (Dollicia) Green and Allen (Alice) Buggs of Gadsden, AL. Also, her three aunts, Annie Queen Robinson of Akron, OH, Nommie Dillingham of Cleveland, OH, Maxine Davenport of Gadsden, AL and one uncle, James Scott of Cincinnati, OH. A host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Special friend Diane Chafin of Cincinnati, OH and J.W. Hollis of Birmingham, AL. and a special niece, Breanna Lemons.
