With heartfelt sympathy we announce the earthly transition of Annette Johnson -Harris Howard of Gadsden who went from labor to reward on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at the age of 82.
Mrs. Annette Johnson-Harris Howard was born on December 2, 1939, in Etowah County, Alabama to the late Romain Johnson and Horace Harris.
She was a graduate of Carver High School class of 1957.
She was an active member of the Carver Revitalization Committee. She was an avid reader, swimmer and she loved to dance.
She was a long-time employee of the Gadsden Country Club.
She was united in the bonds of holy matrimony to the late Mr. Joe Louis Howard on December 7, 1957. To this union five children were born. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Louis Howard and her son, Anthony Howard.
On Saturday April 30, 2022, God spoke and she answered. Annette departed this life peacefully at her home following an extended illness.
She leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Mr. Rainiar G. (Cathy) Howard, Mr. Robert L. Howard, and Mr. Larry D. (Veronica) Howard; daughter, Mrs. Carla R. Freeman (Toney), and her niece, Ms. Tarshalyn T. Howard to whom she devoted 5 years of parentage; her brother, Mr. Johnathan Johnson, two Sisters-in-law, Dorothy, Queen Esther and her beloved cousin Mrs. Tarva Vaughn. She also leaves to cherish her memory a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, family, friends and other loved ones.
