Anton Vernon "Big 6" Marable was born January 30, 1978, in Clay County, Alabama to Brenda Lenice Marable.
Vernon was a 1997 graduate of Clay County High School. He was known as "Big 6" when he played defensive end for the Clay County Panthers. He was a 2001 graduate of Troy State University with a bachelor's degree in business management; he also played football for the Troy State Trojans.
Vernon married Wonita Renee Simmons on November 4, 2004. He loved to spend time with his family, cooking out, doing his yard work, and Alabama Football. He was an awesome father, leader, businessman, and friend, who spoke up for what he believed in.
Vernon was employed by Guntersville Chevrolet as a sales manager, where he was referred to as an integral member of the management team and instrumental in the company's success.
Vernon departed his life Thursday, August 10, 2023, at Riverview Regional Medical Center in Gadsden, Alabama.
He leaves to cherish his memories his beloved wife, Wonita Renee Marable; son, Decoby Marable and daughter, Aysia Marable all of Rainbow City, AL; mother, Brenda (Hugh) Foster of Ashland; brother, Detrick S. (Genetra) Foster of Lincoln; goddaughter, Rylee Williams of Prattville; grandparents, Rosie L. Ware of Ashland, Jewell and Jane Willie Foster of Montgomery; aunts and uncles, Wendy (Rodney) Maxwell, JoAnn Ware, Robert (Pat) Ware, Rev. Clarence (Penny) Foster, Jr. all of Ashland, Jeanetta Jews of Birmingham, and James Foster of Montgomery; sisters-in-law, Sunette (Henry) Adams of Talladega, Lunette Simmons, Breeches Rowell, Quantunya Simmons all of Ashland, and Brock Simmons of Oxford; and great-aunt, Nellie Jo (Clarence) McKenzie of Talladega.
