Bray Williams, Jr. Obituary

With heartfelt sympathy, we announce the earthly transition of Bray Williams, Jr. of Gadsden, who traded time for eternity on Friday, May 31, 2024 at the age of 81. 

Bray Williams, Jr., was born on August 13, 1942, to Virginia Miller and Bray Williams, Sr., in Gadsden, AL.

Bray graduated from Carver High School in 1962 after graduating from high school he Honorably served in the United States Army for one year and eleven months.

Bray married Dorothy Campbell and to this union, two sons were born.  Later he married Patricia Palmore and one daughter was born to this union.

Bray drove tractor-trailer trucks most of his life.  Living most of his life in Georgia, he returned to Alabama a year and a half ago.  Bray was an avid bowler and he also taught bowling lessons.

Bray was preceded in death by his parents, Virginia Miller and Bray Williams, Sr.; daughter, Lanora Evette Williams Nixon; sister, Bobbie Ann Williams Lane; brother, Clarence Williams, Sr.; niece, Lynn Brewster.

Those left to cherish his precious memories are his wife, Patricia Williams; sons, Anthony Williams (Penny Ann Moody), Gadsden, AL, Johnny (Mekia) Williams, Huntsville, AL; son-in-law, Nathaniel Nixon, Atlanta, GA; 8 grandchildren, JaMarcus Robinson, Birmingham, AL, Jonathan Dupree, Florida, Eboni Harris, Gadsden, AL, Tiarah Jones, Kiarah Jones, Kourtini Jones, Jacqueline Williams, Weaver, AL and Johnathan Jones, all of Huntsville, AL; 10 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Beverly Williams, Gadsden, AL; aunt-n-law, Mary Miller, Miami, FL; nephews, Clarence Williams, Jr., California, Tommy Williams, Gadsden, AL; niece, Deborah (Jerry) King, Gadsden, AL and a host of other relatives and friends.
