Carla Elaine Thomas

It is with deep sympathy, we announce the passing of Carla Elaine Thomas of Gadsden, who transitioned on Thursday,  August 17, 2023, at the age of 57.  We ask that you keep her family and friends in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.  

Carla Elaine Thomas was born on February 5, 1967,  to the parents of Rosie Mae Thomas and Emmett Wells in Gadsden, Alabama. 

Carla grew up in Gadsden, AL where she received her education in the Gadsden City School System. She attended Emma Sansom High School and was a graduate of the class of 1986. Carla made everyone who knew her laugh, cry, and clap at all the stories and special moments she shared. Our family is so grateful to know that Carla is finally at peace. 

Carla departed this earth on August 17, 2023.

She proceeded in death by her parents, mother, Rosie Thomas, and her father, Emmett Wells; grandmother, Annie Thomas; and her late brother, Willie Thomas.

She leaves to cherish her memories her children,  Christopher Martin, Devora Thomas (Charles Golden), Breland Thomas (Tyerra Mcelrath); her brother, John (Krisiti) Thomas Wells; six grandchildren; a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins; special cousin, Yolanda (Leamon) Smith; longtime friend, Shelia Abner.
