Charles Michael Cattling was born on September 23, 1954, to Charles and Bertha Cattling in Altoona, AL.

Charles was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan, he loved children especially his nieces and nephews.  He was know for his bright smile and humble demeanor.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Bertha Cattlin; brother, Baron Wayne Cattling; nieces, Kimberly Denise Cattling Brown, Francine Gilbert, Faye Dora Frair and Denise Hodge.

Charles leaves to cherish his memories his son, Michael (Charelle) Gilbert, New York; sister, Charlotte Cattling, Gadsden, AL; brother, Donald Wood, Gadsden, AL; aunts, Christine Woods and Patricia Benford, both of Gadsden, AL; sisters-in-law, Gloria Jenkins and Marion Jenkins, both of New York; brothers-in-law, Gerald Jenkins and Anthony Jenkins, both of New York; nieces, Krystal Cattling, Gadsden, AL, Dondrea Cattling, Orlando, FL, and Janea Phillips, Virgina; nephews, Carl Cattling, Jason Cattling, both of New Jersey, Donald Cattling, Justin Cattling, Shaquille Cattling, Stephon Cattling, all of Gadsden, AL, and Dondre Cattling, Texas; special friend, Cynthia Rice; special cousins, Pastor Ivan Cattling, Gadsden, AL and Bruce Woods and a host of extended family and friends.
