Charles Anthony Sims

It is with  deep sympathy, that we announce the passing of Charles Anthony "Pete" Sims of Chattanoga, TN, who transitioned from his earthly home on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at the age of 51.  We ask that you keep his friends and family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Charles Anthony "Pete" Sims was born February 1, 1972, in Clay County, Alabama to the late Charles Sims and Lela McCurty Burney.

Charles was a 1991 graduate of Lineville High School. He enjoyed family get-togethers, cooking, fishing, and singing, and was a big Auburn fan.

He is preceded in death by, brother Timothy Sims; grandparents, Rebecca Garner, Eunice and Retha Mae Sims; father, Charles Sims; and bonus dad, David Burney. 

Charles departed this life on September 16, 2023, in Chattanooga, TN where he had been a resident for approximately 30 years. 

Charles will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Irma Sims, Chattanooga, TN; his children, Charles D. Sims, Ashland, AL, Mackenzie Sims, Lineville, AL, Ivory Sims, Chase Sims, Alba Cruz, and Manuel Cruz, all of Chattanooga, TN; granddaughter, Kensleigh Sims, Auburn, AL; brothers and sisters, William Sims, Lineville, AL, Marcus Sterling, Savannah, GA, David D. (India) Burney, Mobile, AL, Christopher Burney, Talladega, AL, Sabrina Finley, Dayton, OH, Bridget McCurty, Lineville, AL, and Roderick McCurty, Chattanooga, TN.
