Charles Edward Taylor

With heartfelt sympathy, we announce the earthly transition of Charles Edward Taylor of Gadsden, who traded time for eternity on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at the age of 72.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Faye Taylor.   We ask that you keep his family and friends in your prayers during this difficult time.  Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, September 10, 2022, at Union Baptist Church, Gadsden, AL. 

Mr. Charles Edward Taylor, Sr., was born on December 15, 1949, in Tuscaloosa, AL to Mr. George Taylor and Easter Gaines Taylor.  
Graduated from Carver  High School (Birmingham, AL) in 1968, Graduated from Stillman College in 1971.   
Charles was a member of Union Baptist Church in Gadsden, AL.  Charles was an avid golfer, a handyman and enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family and friends.

Charles was preceded in death by his siblings, Betty Jean Taylor, Georgia Mae West, Walter Taylor, Melvin (Sip), and Jalania Harris.
 

Charles traded time for eternity on September 6, 2022, at Gadsden Regional Medical Center.
 

He married Linda Faye Harris Taylor on September 27, 1980.  Second wife (Ha Ha) Brenda Kaye Harris Stallings.
 

Those left to cherish his precious memories are his wife, Linda Faye Taylor; son, Charles Edward Taylor Jr. (Angel Ramsey); special children, Patrice VanNess Mosley, Shelethea Faye Stallings;  grandchildren, Charles Edward Taylor III (Chuck) and Laila Gabriella Taylor (mother Jessica Glover); siblings, Gloria (Don) Baldwin, Darrell Taylor, Earnest (Angelia) Taylor;  in-laws, Ralph ( Georgia Ann) Harris, Jr., Barbara Mosley, Delores Sullivan, Brenda ( Robert ) Stallings, John ( Sandra ) Harris, and Aldus West and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, golf buddies and special friends that he loved dearly!
