With heartfelt sympathy, we announce the earthly transition of Mrs. Clemmie Sue Dobbins of Centre, who traded time for eternity on Sunday, July16, 2023 at the age of 76. We ask that you keep her family and friends in your prayers during this difficult time.
Clemmie Sue Erkins Dobbins was born August 17, 1947 to the late Van and Jewel Cowser Erkins in Centre, Alabama.
She was a member of St. Mary's United Methodist Church. She faithfully attended and supported this fellowship, until her health prevented her from doing so. She was a proud graduate of Hatcher High School in Centre, Alabama.
In 1966, she joined in Holy Matrimony to Noah Dobbins. This union produced three beautiful daughters, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Clemmie was known by most as "Sue". Sue was known as an excellent seamstress in her younger years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Dorothy Jo Wright; brother, Fred Erkins; half-sister, Nola C. Aaron and half-brother, Van Erkins, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memory and honor her life, her husband of 56 years, Noah Dobbins; three daughters, Cassandra (Martin) Houston, Carita (Robert) Wyatt, Tameka Dobbins; grandchildren, Jordan Jakane, Jaden Wilson, Xavier (Tamara) Houston, Precious, Morgan & Simeon Houston; great-grandchildren, Brayden Browne, Addison, Xavier Houston, Jr., & Journee Know=x (deceased); brother, Floyd (Barbara) Erkins; brothers & sisters-in-law, Charles (Brenda) Dobbins, Mary Kennon, Myria Sattlewhite, Lonnie Henderson; chosen daughter/niece, Pamela (Delano) Barth; special nieces, Jean Bonner and Darease Wright; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends that held a special bond throughout the years.
