Debra Ann (Taylor) Tolliver

With heartfelt sympathy, we announce the earthly transition of Debra Ann Taylor Tolliver of Gadsden, who traded time for eternity on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at the age of 70. 

Debra Ann Tolliver was born on October 4, 1954, in Tacoma, Washington to the parents of Annie Burton and William Taylor.

She lived her life as a dedicated wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend to all. 

There probably aren’t many people in Gadsden or anywhere else she lived who haven't been touched by her charm. She made friends and community anywhere she went.

Forever a nurse, student, and caregiver, she advocated for anyone she thought was being treated unjustly and didn’t mind speaking up. 

Debra Ann Tolliver passed on November 30, 2024, at Riverview Hospital at 11:59 pm. 

She is preceded in death by her mother, Annie Burton, and father, William Taylor. 

She is survived by her husband and high school sweetheart, William Tolliver, Jr.; daughter, Twiaina Tolliver; grandson, D’Andre Clifton (Isla Damron); sisters, Dinia (Darrow Traylor) Taylor, Denise Taylor Thomas and a host of nieces, grandnieces, nephews, and grand-nephews, friends, family, and loved ones. 

The family will receive friends after the service at First Baptist Church, 1411 Meadowbrook Ave, Gadsden, AL 35903.
