Dona' (Adams) Thompson

It is with heartfelt sympathy, we announce the passing of Mrs. Dona' A. Thompson of Gadsden, Alabama, who transitioned on Monday, November 1, 2021, at the age of 65.  We ask that you please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Dona' Adams Thompson was born on August 9, 1956, to the parents of Willard Adams and Lila Mae Hughes Adams in Gadsden, AL. Dona' met Reuben H. Thompson, Sr. at the age of 18 and he was 25. She worked in the Mess Hall and he was a soldier in the Army. They only knew each other for three months and they got married on November 17, 1975.  They married on Fort McClellan Army Base in Anniston, Alabama.  Dona' D. Adams - Thompson leaves to cherish her memories her children, Amanda K. Thompson and Reuben H. Thompson, Jr.; 4 grandchildren, Audrey A. Shufford, Dona' Adaline Thompson, Jaidin Reuben Thompson and Kindon D. Thompson; aunt, Bertha Hughes; brothers and sister, Lamar, RC, Jr., Jonathan and Jacqueline Lindsey and many other relatives and best friend and sister Gwendolyn Daniels.
