Efferm "BJ" Zimbalist Fomby, Jr.

Efferm Zimbalist “BJ” Fomby Jr.  was born on April 27, 1980 in Pell City, Alabama to the late Efferm McCoy Sr. and Alane Hill. 

BJ attended Pell City High School and later received his GED in 1998.BJ had a smile that could light up any room.BJ was the life of the party.He loved to laugh and joke. BJ had a love for Cadillac's. He was an avid Alabama Football Fan and enjoyed Yankee baseball. At the end of the day BJ was the neighborhood's "Big Brother."

BJ earned his wings on Thursday, April 20,2023 at St. Vincent’s East, Trussville Alabama. He preceded his death by his father Efferm McCoy Sr.;grandmothers Parine Fomby,Josephine McCoy;great grandmother Clara Jordan and Auntie Ada Vee Kidd.
 
BJ's memories will forever be cherished by his children, Ekaijah Taylor, Eniya Fomby, Ariel Benson , Ameia Allen; loving mother Alane (Lester) Hill; brother Bryan McCoy; two sisters Santana McCoy ,Nikia McCoy Cohill; nieces Lyricika McCoy, Amaya Smith, Jazonnia Cohill, Justice Ragland;nephews Mykeil Smith, Jason Cohill; great nephew Karter Seals; Grandfather Frank Fomby; a very special friend that loved him dearly Erica Robinson; special cousins Paul Moss ,Natasha Gover,Mandral Swain, Courtney Beavers, Gregory Beavers; special brothers Mario Sanders, Montez Sanders; a host of aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends.
