Obituary

Ms. Elizabeth "Liz" Williams was born, April 1, 1930, to the late  Herman Williams and Mary Ethel Maull Burkes.
Ms. Jenkins attended West Gadsden City School.She was a homemaker for most of her life. She also worked at the Cafe' as a cook for many years and she loved every minute of it .
At an early age , Ms. Jenkins accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and she united with First Baptist Church Alabama City under the leadership of Reverend E.L. Gray.
She was preceded   in death by her husband Richard Jenkins, father and mother, grandmother Queenie Robinson, sister Naomi Maull, son Carl Williams,Sr. grandson Carl Williams,Jr. and Robert "Lavon"Jenkins, granddaughter Tammy Williams, great grandson  Kobe Thomas , great granddaughter Ferlando "Tease" Whisenant and four uncles and two aunts.
Ms. Jenkins transitioned from this life to glory on Tuesday,March 14,2023, in the comfort of  her home surrounded by family.
Ms. Jenkins had a heart of gold.Her family meant the world to her, an she loved spending time with them. The community called her "mom/grandmom Liz". She loved socializing with family,friends,neighbors and living life to the fullest. She was well known  for her great cooking, and she welcomed everyone to her table to enjoy it. She loved to visit the grocery store weekly where she would always get to see,talk, and laugh with someone that she knew.She was very fond of dancing and a huge fan of Al Green. She looked forward to attending her yearly event/outing, " The Black and White Ball" where she showed off her dancing skills.
She leaves to many memories to be cherish by her daughters Mary"Pam"(Jimmy) Thomas and Shirley"Lucy"Jenkins, sons Robert Lee (Lizzie)Jenkin,Alfonza Jenkins,Elester "Keith"(Nell) Jenkins,Dennis(Sylvia)Jenkins,Sr.,Lorenzo"Lo"(Pauline)Jenkins; stepsister Beulah Mae Blue; stepbrother Charlie Cash; grandchildren Erica(Vick)Maye,Mary"Louise"(Glen) Williams, Jimmy (Shavonne) Thomas ,Jr.,Latisha (Julian)Curry,Jamar Jenkins,Deidra Williams, Dennis Jenkins,Jr., Damar Jenkins,Reginald Heard, Nicholas Thomas,Tina(Charles)Gilbert,Zera(Barry)Lawrence,Bobby(Rachel)Jenkins; great-grandchildren, Mercedes Jenkins, Bobby Jenkins,Jr.,Robert Jenkins,Asia Gilbert,Cameron Gilbert,Glen Williams,Jr., Kenleigh Williams,Amiyah Thomas, Kijana Thomas, Jameal Thomas, Detterrious Barnum,Montavious Lucas, Jillian Curry, Jr.,JaBraylen Smith, ReAuna Heard, Rashad Williams, Kelvin Bradford,Jr., Ronelo Blackmon, Barry Lawrence,Jr.,Lanicia Lawrence,De'Marian Jenkins,Emily Jenkins,Addisyn Jenkins,Isabella Jenkins; great-great grandchildren Zaidyn Williams, Zameria Williams,Rahkyia Williams, Marquell Lawrence,Ilias Lawrence,Kylie Girdy-Terrell,Jhelani Ali Lawrence; niece Sandress Love Robinson; aunt Betty Robinson; friend"Billy Boy"(Sherby)Paris,Mattie Brewster and Roberta Harville and a host of other relatives and friends.
