With heartfelt sympathy we announce the earthly transition of Eloise Pruitt Glover of Gadsden, who traded time for eternity on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at the age of 73.
Mrs.Eloise Pruitt Glover was born on November 12, 1949, to the late Leslie Pruitt Sr. and Mrs. Beaulah Sims Pruitt in Gadsden, Alabama.
She was educated in the Gadsden City School System and shortly afterward she attended Gadsden State Community College. Eloise received certifications in Upholstery/Interior Design, and Salon and Spa Management. She took those talents and gifts to her profession, where she retired from Gadsden Job Corps in 2008. She enjoyed many hobbies such as gardening, cooking, and reading the word of God. She loved her family with all of her heart. She was truly the rock of the family.
Eloise confessed Christ at an early age at her family church at Antioch. She later joined Fellowship Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Davis. Eloise was a devout and dedicated member of Fellowship under the leadership of Pastor Scottie Rice, up until her untimely passing on November 2, 2023.
She was preceded in death by the following: her loving husband, Freddie B. Glover; daughter, Felicia Glover; parents, Leslie Pruitt Sr., Beaulah Sims Pruitt; siblings, Thomas William Pruitt, Elsie Jane Pruitt Wilson, Joyce Pruitt Whorton, Doris Pruitt Pearson; brothers-in-law, Reverend Roszell Gadson Sr., Richard “Falcolm” Whorton, and Sylvester Wilson.
She leaves to cherish her many memories her loving and devoted children, Montresia (Maurice) Glover, Cantrell Glover (Donald) Brown all of Gadsden, Alabama, and Warlando (Jessica) Glover Attalla, Alabama; grandchildren; Yarnyell Shoneita Glover (Joe) Ingram, Huntsville, Alabama, Jeffrey Glover, Gadsden, Alabama, special granddaughter, Teneita Glover, Gadsden, Alabama, Vanderia Britton, Atlanta, Georgia, Latoria Glover Atlanta, Georgia, Wardlandus (Destiny) Glover, Attalla, Alabama, Emani Steward(Demetrius) Swain, Gadsden, Alabama, Haleigh Glover, Birmingham, Alabama; twelve great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Delores Gadson, Gadsden, Alabama, Leslie (Kecha) Pruitt, Jr., Gadsden, Alabama; special nieces, Pangela McGee, Gadsden, Alabama, Camisha Pruitt, Huntsville, Alabama, Tanya Whorton Gadsden, Alabama, Talandria Whorton, Atlanta, Georgia, special nephews/chosen sons, Roszell Gadson Jr. of Lilburn,GA, Kendall (Kristy) Kelly, Gadsden, Alabama, Leslie Sean Pruitt, Gadsden, Alabama, Stacey Pruitt Gadsden, Alabama, Richard (Nancy) Whorton, Guntersville, Alabama; special cousins/chosen sisters, Cheryl Mason, Tanya Sims, Vicki (Tommie) Garth, all of Chattanooga, Tennessee; special friends, Benny Brown, Frank Brown, Yvonne Harris, all of Gadsden, Alabama, and a host of beloved family and many dear friends.
