Elsie Ilene (Martin) Coleman

It is with deep sympathy we announce the passing of Elsie Coleman of Gadsden, AL, who transtioned on Friday, September 30, 2022, at the age of 68.  We ask that you keep her family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Elsie Ilene Martin Coleman was born October 30, 1953, in Gadsden, Alabama to the union of the late Frank and Lurlean Taylor Martin. 

She was educated in the Gadsden City School System.

Elsie worked for many years as an LPN and was a caregiver to so many for a number of years. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Earvin Taylor.

She leaves to cherish her devoted daughter, Candace Coleman; siblings, Rev. Hersey Taylor, Sr., Saratha Goggins, both of Gadsden; uncle, Harrison (Mary) Martin, Maurice, IN; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
