It is with heartfelt sympathy, we announce the passing of Mrs. Ethel Lee Cowser Pinson, of Centre, AL., who transitioned on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at the age of 88. We ask that you please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
Mrs. Ethel Lee Cowser Pinson was born on November 7, 1933, to the late Alonzo Cowser and Mattie L. Vinson Cowser. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Republican Missionary Baptist Church until her health declined.
On January 13, 2022, she was called home to be with her Master.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edmond E. Pinson: her parents, Alonzo and Mattie Cowser; one brother, Paul Cowser; one sister, Mary Alice Cantrell; one son, Alex E. Pinson; one daughter, Mrya G. Pinson Jelks; son in law James M. Jelks.
She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, Sonya Pinson; five granddaughters, Leslie (Donnie) Rogers, Jennifer Washington, Alexis Starr, Latitia Orr, and Paige Jelks; three grandsons, Justin Fife, Jarrett Chambers, and Allen Starr; 10 great-grandchildren, Morgan Ray, Isaiah Thomas, Sarai Ray, Iyana Thomas, Jordyn Starr, Ta'Miya Starr, Kayla Fife, Marcellus Fife, Maximus Fife, and Camille Daniels; a host of nephews and nieces; special friends, Geraldine Stitts, Nobleza Adams, and Silvia Hernandez.
