It is with heartfelt sympathy, that we announce the passing of Mr. Frederick Orlando Burroughs of Gadsden, AL, who transitioned on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at the age of 69. We ask that you keep his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
Mr. Fredrick Orlando Burroughs was born on September 17, 1954, to the late Ms. Doris Ann Burroughs and Mr. Freddie Lee Cox.
At an early age, he confessed to Christ at Macedonia Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend B. L. Walker.
On October 17, 2023, he departed this life at home.
Mr. Burrough is preceded in death by his mother, Mrs. Doris Ann Burroughs; father, Mr. Freddie Lee Cox; aunts, Emma Nell Rutledge, Mary Pearson, Catherine Young, Julia Story; uncles, Johnnie Rutledge, Columbus Pearson, Edward Robert Jackson, Thomas Hill.
Those left to cherish his loving memories, one daughter, Ms. Yolanda Burroughs; sister, Lenora (Freddie) Whetstone; a brother-in-law, Mr. Michael Whetstone; aunt, Flora Malone; special love, Ms. Ida Billingsley; niece, Cherisha Edwards, and nephew, Quiengashious Tuck; Frederick was blessed to have another mother during his lifetime, his aunt the late Mrs. Emma Nell Rutledge, during this time he was raised up with his first cousins, Veronica Rutledge, Vanessa (Jeff) Miller, Janet Rutledge, Debra Rutledge, Fabré Lawrence, and John Rutledge; special cousins, Jerry Moore, Erice Jackson, Kalandrian Veasy, Latonya Rutledge and Shelia Jackson, Jason (Sonny) Young, and host of other cousins, relatives, family, and friends; special friends, Anthony and Michael Cook.
