With heartfelt sympathy, we announce the earthly transition of Henry Lewis Hardy of Gadsden, who traded time for eternity on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at the age of 85.

Henry Lewis Hardy, Sr. was born on August 2, 1940 in Gold Branch, Tallapoosa County, Alabama to the late Benny Clayton and Mary Emma Hicks Hardy.
Henry Lewis accepted Christ at a young age and was a member of Union Baptist Church, where he served as an usher.
Henry Lewis graduated with the 1961 Class of Carver High School. He then went on to serve his county in the United States Army until being honorably discharged. He was truly a "Real Army Man".
He was no stranger to hard work as he worked until retirement at Republic Steel. His true passion was being an auto mechanic and operating his own business, Hardy's Automotive Sales & Repair.
Silver Fox, his handle, enjoyed car racing, facilitating the famous annual Black And White Ball, attending the Magic City Classic festivities and entertaining the masses with a good time.
Henry Lewis the "Silver Fox" crossed Jordan's River to the land of "No More" on Saturday, January 24, 2026 and joined his parents, Benny Clayton Hardy, Mary Emma (Y.C.) Crozier; son, Alexandria Votobia Burton; brother, Kevin Crozier; sisters, Lynn Rose Richardson and Elaine Crozier Parker.
Those left behind include his children, Henry Lewis Hardy, Jr., Fort Lauderdale, FL, Kenton Renaldo (Lucy) Hardy, Prattville, AL, Vincent Lamar (Remonia) Oliver, Gadsden, AL, Sharon Denise Marbury Vester, Miami Gardens, FL, Raven Latoya Simpson, Hokes Bluff, AL; sisters, Pearlie M. Hardy Stallings, Helena Hoyt, both of Gadsden, AL; brothers, Y. C. (Cynthia) Crozier, Jr. Johnny Crozier, Kenneth Crozier, all of Gadsden AL, a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
