It is with deep sympathy we announce the passing of Honi Taylor of Gadsden, AL, who transitioned on Monday, December 1, 2025, at the age of 40. We ask that you keep her family and friends in your thoughts and prayers during the difficult time.
Honi Ginger Taylor was born on January 28, 1985, in Gadsden, Alabama, to the union of the late Ernest Taylor and Monica Davis Taylor. She was educated in the Gadsden City School System and later earned her G.E.D. from Gadsden State Community College.
Ginger had a warm spirit and a generous heart. She loved cooking, listening to music, and spending time with her family—moments that brought her great joy and allowed her kindness and humor to shine. Her presence was a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
On December 1, 2025, Ginger peacefully went home to be with God.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Taylor; paternal grandparents, Willie and Lessie Taylor; maternal grandparents, James K. and Lula Harris Davis.
She leaves to cherish her memories her loving mother, Monica Taylor; brothers, Matthew Taylor, Juwan Taylor, Justus Taylor and Jonathan Taylor; aunts, Beverly Hogg and Jana Brooks; cousins, Jamie Brooks, Jiri (Brittany) Brooks, Lenita Brooks, Jacel Brooks, Jerry (Lizbeth) Brooks, and a host of loving nieces and nephews that reside in Texas and also in Washington D.C.; she also leaves behind a special friend, Akeem Guinn. Everyone will miss her warm smile, her sensitive nature and heart that was always full of love.
