With heartfelt sympathy, we announce the transition of Infant Kyle Jacob Sumner of Ashville, who completed his earthly time Monday, May 18, 2026 at fourteen days.
Kyle Jacob “KJ” Sumner, beloved son of Kaylee Ford and Jacob Sumner, was born on May 4, 2026, in Birmingham, Alabama. Though his time on earth was brief, he was deeply loved and brought immeasurable joy to everyone who knew of him.
From the very beginning, KJ was a precious gift whose life touched so many hearts. In his short time here, he showed the strength, beauty, and innocence that only God could create. Though his family’s hearts are broken, they find comfort in knowing he is now resting peacefully in the arms of Jesus.
Kyle passed away on May 18, 2026, surrounded by his parents’ love.
KJ leaves behind his loving parents, Kaylee Ford and Jacob Sumner of Ashville, Alabama; his grandparents, Tina Sumner of Ashville, Alabama, Buck Ford of Collinsville, Alabama, and Quene (Devin) Williams of Collinsville, Alabama; his great-grandparents, Dianne Williams of Collinsville, Alabama, Lula (Tony) Ford of Collinsville, Alabama, and Donald (Brenda) Sumner of Ashville, Alabama, as well as many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members who will forever cherish his memory.
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you.” – Jeremiah 1:5
Though we did not get nearly enough time with KJ, the love he gave and the impact he made will last forever.
