It is with heartfelt sympathy we announce the earthly transition of Iona Marshall of Anniston, who traded time for eternity on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at the age of 59.
A Diamond In The Sky
Iona Marshall was the oldest child born to Sylvester Harris, Sr., and Irene Elston Brady on July 26, 1965, in Anniston, Alabama.
Iona acquired the nickname “Peaches” from her family as a young girl because of her peachy skin tone and a smile a ray of sunshine.
Peaches gave birth to two children, Stephone’ and Miya whom she loved dearly.
Peaches worked at KFC as an Assistant Manager for several years. She had a love for reading different books. Peaches loved having a good time and she loved to dance and she also loved to help others.
Iona attended All Saints Catholic School from K-8th grade. Peaches attended Anniston High School where she graduated with the Class of 1983.
Peaches was preceded in death by her daughters, Stephone’ Marshall and Miya Marshall; mother, Irene Brady; and one brother, Corey Murphy.
Peaches leaves to cherish her memories her father, Sylvester Harris, Sr.; three sisters, Churry Williams, Sharee Nolan, and Erica Sims; two brothers, Sylvester (Tammy) Harris, Jr., Derrick (Penny) Murphy; two granddaughters, Aniyah Marshall Chevis and Kiya Marshall all of Anniston, AL, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
