James Waites affectionately known as "Bad Eye" was born on December 23,1937 to the union of Mr. C.W. and Mrs. Inez Waites.
James was a very special husband,father,grandfather,brother,uncle,& friend to many,Mr. James Edward Waites.
He attended St. Clair County Training School, but soon left to enter the workforce. He married his lifelong love Mrs. Mary Waites & they shared 2 wonderful daughters. He was a pulpwood worker by trade for many years, and later down the line a construction worker with Cosper Construction. His hobbies included fishing,hunting,watching wrestling, and being a true jack of all trades. If it was broken, he could definitely fix it! He was loved by many, and he truly never met a stranger. To know him was to surely love him and will undoubtedly be missed by all.
Mr. Waites made his heavenly transition April 5,2023 in his home, surrounded by his loved ones. He is preceded in death by his parents C.W. and Inez Waites; One daughter Mrs. Ronda Carol Waites Reynolds, brothers; Arthur Lee, Tommy, JD, Bobby Wayne;sisters Alice Faye, Linda, and Clarice.
He leaves to cherish his memories to his loving and devoted wife of 64 years Mrs. Mary Louise Waites ;one daughter, Kimberly Montgomery, Pell City,Al.;one special granddaughter; ShaKrystal Waites;four grandsons; DeRorgeio Reynolds,Terence Waites,Samori Reynolds,& Brian Gover ,all of Pell City,Al.;special great granddaughter;Justys Reynolds of Lincoln,Al.;special bonus great grandson Gavin Allen;special bonus great granddaughter Ameia Allen,both of Cocoa Beach,Fl.;one brother Jerry (Loretta) Waites ,Birmingham,Al.;one sister Brenda Waites,Lincoln,Al.;and a host of other nieces,nephews,and beloved friends.
