John Henry Hunter, Jr.

It is with deep sympathy, we announce the passing of John Henry Hunter, Jr., of Gadsden, AL, who passed on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at the age of 47.  We ask that you keep his friends and family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

John Henry Hunter, Jr., was born December 31, 1976, to Shirley Ann Jackson and John Henry Hunter, Sr., in Gadsden, Alabama.

John Henry was educated in the Gadsden City School System, where he enjoyed playing football at Emma Sansom High School.  He also enjoyed fishing and loved his family dearly.

John Henry was preceded in death by his brother, Juancea Hunter.

Those left to cherish his memories are his mother, Shirley Ann Jackson Hunter; father, John Henry Hunter, Sr.; sisters, Mia Cole, and Catherine Lovelace; aunts, Bernice (Willie) Whiteside, Darlene Jackson, Alfred Wyatt, Brenda Madden, Ora (Chris) Williams; uncle, Darrell (Cherly) Jackson, Danny (Melissa) Morris; great-aunt Mary (Cliff) Leach; special cousins, Jeffrey Jackson, Randy Rutledge, Johnny Johnson; friend to the end, Marvin Williams.

Repast will be at Ridgeville Community Center.
